ABSTRACT
This article examines the impact of biofeedback therapy on the cognitive functions of children aged 6-16 with enuresis and encopresis issues. The relevance of the study is due to the high prevalence of these disorders among children living near war conflict zones. The study evaluates the effects of biofeedback therapy, aimed at improving control over pelvic functions, on higher mental functions such as activity regulation, attention, memory, programming, regulation, and control. The study involved 200 children (75 girls) who underwent a course of biofeedback therapy, and their mental state was assessed using the «НС – Психотест 2.0» diagnostic methodology. The results showed significant improvements in dynamic characteristics of mental activity, such as reaction speed and attention stability, and indicated improvements in short-term memory, though no significant changes were found in regulatory functions. The study emphasizes the need for a comprehensive approach to correcting higher mental functions, particularly regulatory functions, including neuropsychological correction and collaboration with adults.
